Flair K8540 viewsThis is one of two Flair K8's I've build at one time. This one is mine and the other belong's to a friend. The full size I've coppied is kept at Derby & Lan's gliding club. We're hopping to fly them both very soon. Weather permiting?

429 viewsThis stone seat is situated at the west end of Wavering Down. You can just make out the enscription "ONLY A HILL, BUT ALL OF LIFE TO ME". Noone seems to know who built the seat, but it appeared shortly before the rebuilding of a long stone wall was completed (which took about 10 years), so maybe there is a connection.

360 viewsLooking at Crook Peak from the West end of Wavering Down. Several club members enjoy testing their flying skills by flying from Crook Peak to the Trig Point on Wavering Down. This can be done with a south westerly wind from The Razor or a northerly/north westerly wind from the North Face or West Face. The round trip is just over 2.5 miles and if the lift is good, takes between 50 and 80 minutes depending on how fast you walk
